Gestalt therapy focuses on achieving personal growth and freedom by increasing self-awareness in present moment experiences. The therapist engages the client in conversations and exercises that bring awareness to their thoughts, emotions, and movements in real time, increasing the client’s understanding and acceptance of their inner-self.

I seek to bring what is hidden (unaware) into the open (aware).

Gestalt therapy is holistic, experiential, and interactive. It focuses on the total person - mind, body, emotions, and spirit. This helps clients recognize, trust, and draw upon all of these sources of experience as inner resources for change.

Couples therapy
Couples therapy can help you explore and develop awareness of ‘toxic’ interactions, and look at ways of changing them. It can also help to identify significant differences in personalities, values and needs, which are often the source of ongoing difficulties.
My approach to couples is integrative, drawing on concepts from humanistic and a more specific approach called Emotion Focused Therapy. The process enables healing wounds and strengthening relational bonds.
